After many months of deliberation... We are delighted to be able to say that we have finally made a well informed decision... We are going to build the Porter Davis Jasper 33 and we couldn't be happier...
Special mention must go to Poppy at Porter Davis in Keysborough... She is awesome... We highly recommend her.... :)
Building will commence in March 2013 and we are super excited....
After changing our facade three times we have finally settled on the Canterbury.... It really is worth your while to drive to all the estates to see the facades available in the flesh... The moment we saw the Canterbury facade in Taylors Hill we realised we found the ONE... It had all the beachy colours we were after.... The tile feature at the front was amazing and the wooden finish under the eaves was just beautiful... Although i must admit i am not sure yet we can afford that feature... :) Fingers crossed that doesnt come out too dear at our vendor appointment. :)
On Sunday we visited Hopetoun Interiors... Although we won't be officially choosing our interior colours (thank god exterior colour is done) to our appointment in January 2013, it was great to start researching our options... :) We found out on this visit that we would be able to have the hebel process carried out on our exterior opposed to brick render process.... As we are in a fire zone this will benefit this cost also... Benefits to us all round. Yay to a win finally... :)
Our biggest concern with the interior colour selection is the flooring... We are going the bolero floor boards as we have our four legged babies and need something durable... We are tossing up between the rustic nougat and rustic grey.... Its such a big decision... We are trying to keep the beachy theme through out our new house as we are building at Mornington Peninsula... Decisions decisions....
Well... I think another visit to Hopetoun Interiors is in order.... It took us three times to make our facade decision... I am thinking it is going to be the same process with our exterior colours...
